May 7th RiverSweep is Ohio Canal
Corridor's annual environmental awareness and clean-up
initiative. The event partners multiple non-profit
organizations with private companies and hundreds of
volunteers to clean areas along the Cuyahoga River Valley and
its tributaries. RiverSweep is a "done in a day" event
where volunteers gather at one of several designated
areas. The best part is that all volunteers receive a
free t-shirt and lunch at the Nautica Pavilion. This
year is RiverSweep's 20th anniversary-come this year and join
the ranks of esteemed river-cleaners from the past two
decades. To find out how you can help call the Ohio

University Circle
Inc. Receives Grant from Ronald McDonald Charities of Northeastern
Ohio University Circle, Inc.
(UCI) was awarded a grant by Ronald McDonald Charities to
fund the purchase of the STAR seat safety restraint
system. The STAR system will help ensure the safe and
reliable transportation of preschool students during their
visits to University Circle museums as part of UCI's Early
Learning Initiative. As part of its four PreK-12
educational programs, UCI transports more than 16,000 children

required by the Ohio Department of Transportation. "This

enjoy their own journey of lifelong learning in the
Circle," said Chris Ronayne, President of UCI. For
